I offer individual and relationship therapy, working with children, young people and adults across a wide range of emotional and relational experiences.
My approach is integrative, trauma-informed and creative, drawing from psychodynamic, humanistic, somatic and relational ways of working. Depending on the individual, therapy may include talking, creative exploration, symbolism, parts work and body-based approaches.
Rather than focusing only on symptoms, I am interested in what may be happening underneath them — the experiences, relationships, attachment patterns, protective responses and nervous-system processes that can shape how we feel, relate and respond.
I work with experiences including anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, domestic abuse, betrayal, grief and loss, life transitions, identity, childhood experiences and intergenerational patterns.
Therapy is adapted to the age, needs and way of communicating of each person, rather than expecting everyone to engage with therapy in the same way.

My approach to supervision goes beyond case management. We can explore what is happening within the therapeutic relationship — including attachment dynamics, countertransference, relational patterns, nervous-system responses and what we may find ourselves carrying from our client work.
Supervision is a space for curiosity, reflection and development, while keeping both ethical practice and the therapist's own wellbeing in view.

I’m Kelly Lane, a psychotherapeutic counsellor, clinical supervisor, trauma educator, relationship therapist, creative artist, author and course developer. My work is grounded in the belief that our responses make sense when we understand the experiences, relationships and nervous-system patterns beneath them.
I work integratively, drawing from psychodynamic, humanistic, somatic and relational approaches, with particular interests in trauma, attachment, relational patterns, intergenerational experiences and the ways the body carries what has happened to us.
Creativity is an important part of who I am and how I work. As an artist and writer, I am interested in the ways we can express and understand our experiences beyond words — through imagery, metaphor, symbolism, storytelling and creative exploration.
Alongside my therapy practice, I teach counsellors, provide clinical supervision and write and develop courses, workshops and CPD programmes for therapists, counsellors and other professionals. I also write about trauma, relationships, attachment and the human experience, bringing together psychological theory, therapeutic practice and creativity.
My approach is reflective, creative and collaborative — helping people make sense of themselves and their experiences rather than reducing them to a diagnosis or a set of symptoms.
